I recently moved into Grant Park Village and I have had a wonderful experience so far. The team has been professional, responsive, and clear throughout the entire process. From application to move in, communication was timely and helpful, which made a stressful transition feel much smoother.
The community is clean, well maintained, and peaceful. I truly appreciate the atmosphere and attention to detail. I am excited to call this place home and grateful for such a positive start in my new space.

I’ve lived here nearly a year. The apartment is small but works for me. I love having the washer/ dryer in unit. The 2 gyms are barely used which is great! The game and TV room are also usually available. There are plenty of community activities if you are looking for social outlets. Both times I needed maintenance, it was dealt with quick. I love the free box residents use to pass along things in nice condition. I’ve had street parking the entire time with only one parking ticket. No break ins or vandalism. There are a couple of regular unhoused nearby but they don’t bother anyone. Perfect if you need to commute off I-84/ I-5/ 205 for work. Grant park is close for walking dogs.

As an ex-resident of Grant Park Village, and someone who’s been in Marketing for over a decade, I strongly believe that customers are always right — and deserve respect.
Coming to the point: the maintenance service here is extremely slow and often unresponsive. If you happen to have the direct number of the maintenance person (Joey, during my time there), your request might get done within 2–3 days — otherwise, expect long delays. Joey himself seemed quite overworked.
For any urgent or emergency matters that require visiting the leasing office, things get even more frustrating. The property manager requires a prior appointment, and the leasing consultants (especially Makenzie Higgins) often come across as uninterested or dismissive, particularly toward non-Americans or those with a non-American accent.
After living there for a year, we were asked to move out, being told we had “misbehaved” during a few weeks in June and July. What they failed to acknowledge was that my wife suffered a bipolar episode during that time. She was hospitalized in a psychiatric ward for several weeks and had a relapse shortly after. I was working out of state in Alabama and traveled frequently to be with her. As anyone familiar with this condition knows, she needed constant care.
When I learned about the alleged “misbehavior,” I personally reached out to Makenzie Higgins, explained my wife’s medical situation, and even shared hospital and psychiatric records — fully disclosing personal health information in good faith. Despite this, there was zero empathy or understanding.
Before our lease ended, I requested to downsize from a 2B2B to a smaller 2B1B or 1B1B unit since my wife was on disability benefits and I was on unpaid leave. They asked for additional paperwork, which I provided — yet my request was still denied. Ironically, when we first toured the property, we were told that moving to another apartment within the building (if done two months before lease renewal) would be free of charge. That promise was not honored.
In the end, they refused our move request but said we could renew our lease in the same unit, which made no sense. We had to make arrangements to move all the stuff to another location within a short apan of time. FYI, We had never missed a rent payment, and I did everything possible to communicate respectfully and transparently. Now I have move to a nearby apartments and this place is way better than Grant Park.
My takeaway:
If you are someone with a non-American accent or not of a typical North American appearance, be prepared for delays, indifference, and lack of empathy from this management team.

I had a great experience touring Grant Park Village thanks to Ryan Givens. From the moment I arrived, Ryan was welcoming, knowledgeable, and incredibly easy to talk to. He took the time to understand what I was looking for and walked me through the community with genuine enthusiasm.
Ryan answered all of my questions clearly and confidently, and he made the whole process feel smooth and stress-free. It’s always refreshing to meet a leasing agent who not only knows the property well but truly cares about helping people find the right home. His professionalism and friendly personality stood out and made the tour memorable.
Grant Park Village is a beautiful community, and Ryan’s service made the experience even better. Highly recommend connecting with him if you’re considering living here!

Just signed my second year lease here. I'm really glad I moved in here a year ago, probably the best apartment I've ever had. All the conveniences, parking in the garage, being able to get daily-weekly supplies at multiple stores for me and the cats, right next to Hollywood District where I hang out... it's kind of nice.
No crazy neighbors and the sound from neighbors is minimal. Sometimes the train is loud but only if your windows are open.
Maintenance works hard and handles things well. I've only had 2 requests (minor) and both were handled within 24 hours. Security is also active, I see them on weekend nights patrolling inside and outside the public areas.
Only negative is the elevator in the Quimby building goes down a lot. When making any kind of plan where an elevator is very important you have to consider, "Be ready to use the stairs for that...". Kind of sucks when you are coming back from Ikea on a Saturday morning or trying to load your car for a weekend camping trip. This happens a lot.
