I have been a resident at Zeal for 15 months now. We started with Arboreal Management then switched to Cushman Wake. Rent and utility payments were very convenient with Arboreal due to their online portal; however, residents had to wait months for a website or application with Cushman. After the management change, furniture in all community areas have been removed, two elevators are always out-of-service, and utilities fees have increased from $60 flat to around $150. We now have two electricity bills which significantly impacted the increase. The apartments have extremely thin insulation in the walls. Residents can hear their neighbors while when they shower or flush the toilet. We are now subjected to unnecessary inspections. Before the switch, we had performances from local bands, pet treat giveaways, a fully furnished game room, and work/play area. The new company obviously plans to increase its revenue by adding late fees for the extra utility fees. Add an additional $250 to your rent for those fees. I pay $170 a month now for a studio with 200 sq ft. $170 is the amount for a full sized one bedroom, so I am moving to a full-sized one bedroom soon.
