Lila gave my daughter and I a fantastic tour and answered every one of our questions.

They said they fixed the fan in the bathroom, but after I got the notification and tried the fan, it was in the same condition

Lived there when it was brand new on the 4th floor. Our unit was severely infested with ants throughout the entirety of our lease. Informed management multiple times and they did nothing about it.

Some rooms face the inside of the building and you'll never see the light of day, and they'll have you pay the same as a larger room with an outdoor facing window. I got the small inner-facing room. The lounge is locked a lot of the time when it shouldn't be. The rooms and kitchen are very nice, and the staff are friendly. The rest is just an issue with the management. It's extremely expensive for not a lot in return.

Definitely a newer place and close to campus, but experience with management has been horrible, especially with the change in management companies last fall. In our experience they have been very dishonest, they don't follow through on requests, or even on what they say they will do, the lease documents are conflicting and even problematic (e.g. making occupants responsible for actions of other occupants), and they apply extra charges wherever they can. After frustration with the management company, we tried reaching out to ownership but they wouldn't even respond. With old management, this was a place we would recommend to others to look at, even with the added cost. With new management, with nonresponsive ownership, and with these apartments being more expensive than others in the area, I would tell people to definitely check out other options before you sign here. And if you do sign a lease with Stateside, at least know what you're getting into, which may not be worth the trouble.
