Moved out of helix recently and it was overall a great experience living there. Although the neighborhood could be a little crazy I loved all the trees and amazing restaurants, link real close because i dont have a car. The office staff was always really helpful and present. Lauren and Iya were super clear and helpful with what to expect with moving and i did not feel stressed or confused. I was always pleasantly suprised with how fast the maintenance team was when i had things break. rent was pretty good price for seattle!

Unfortunately, my experience at this apartment community has been disappointing, mainly due to ongoing package theft and poor management response.
Package theft has been a recurring issue in the building. After my own package was stolen, I politely posted a message on the community board simply to ask whether other residents had experienced similar issues and to remind everyone to be cautious about package deliveries. However, since December 15, my post has never been approved or allowed to be published.
What is more concerning is that the management has also acknowledged that unauthorized individuals are able to tailgate residents and enter the building, which creates a serious security risk. Despite this, there has been no effective improvement in security measures, nor transparent communication with residents regarding these ongoing issues.
Overall, the lack of action, accountability, and openness around resident safety and package security has been very frustrating

We lived here for two years and always kept the apartment clean. After moving out, the management charged us a huge and unreasonable “cleaning fee.” The place was spotless when we left, yet they still claimed “extra heavy cleaning” and other repairs.
Also, one of my packages was stolen during our stay, and the office did nothing to help — they simply told me to contact the seller for a refund, even though it clearly wasn’t the seller’s fault.
Very disappointing experience overall. Poor management and zero accountability.

We lived in this apartment for two years, never missed a single rent payment, and always kept our unit clean and well-maintained. However, the move-out process was extremely disappointing.
After moving out, the management charged us automatically through the autopay system without any prior notice, taking our next month’s rent ($2,262 + $140 for parking) to cover so-called “Final Charges.” These included:
• Painting/Drywall Repair: $236.33
• “Extra Heavy Clean”: $322.00
• Carpet Replacement (partial): $1,033.25
• Utilities: $136.50
• They only refunded a small portion as “Rent Credit” and the security deposit.
These charges are completely unreasonable. The apartment was thoroughly cleaned before we moved out, and there was no significant carpet damage. Yet they still billed us over a thousand dollars for “extra heavy cleaning” and “partial carpet replacement.”
What’s worse, they used the automatic payment system without our authorization or communication, which feels very unprofessional and unfair.
What’s even more ridiculous is that we were actually planning to renew for a third year. When the rent increased again, we asked if there was any kind of loyalty discount or credit for long-term renters, and they said “No, we treat every resident the same.”
But after I moved out, my friend moved into the same unit — and their rent is $200 cheaper than what we paid in our first year. Absolutely hilarious. So much for “treating every tenant the same.”

I've been living here for a while now, and I have to say the staff in the office are amazing! They are always so friendly, helpful, and really go above and beyond to make sure everything is taken care of. The common areas, hallways, and lobbies are always spotless, which makes a big difference in creating a pleasant living environment.
One thing I really appreciated was the ability to make multiple payments for rent. However, I recently found out that this feature was turned off due to corporate decisions, which is a bit inconvenient, but I completely understand it was out of the local staff’s control. Even when I brought it up, they were very understanding and apologetic. Overall, the level of service and care from the team here is excellent.
