Living at Yugo Lothorien has been one of the worst housing experiences I’ve ever had.
The management is completely irresponsible and unresponsive. My light bulb was broken since January, and it took them eight months to replace it. There’s also a constant dripping water problem that has never been fixed — they keep blaming a “third-party contractor” who hasn’t shown up for an entire year. Also, it is totally unsecured, look at the pics attached
On top of that, I was given a semi-basement room with poor facilities and endless maintenance issues. But the worst part is the deposit — they promised I would receive it within six weeks after moving out, yet it’s far past the deadline and I still haven’t gotten anything back. EVERY SINGLE ONE OF THEM ARE TRYING TO FIND THEIR MANAGER TO TACKLE WITH THR PROBLEM, BUT THE MANAGER WAS ON MEETING ALL THE TIME.
WHERE IS HIM?
This place is completely unprofessional and dishonest. I strongly warn future tenants to stay away. Don’t waste your time and money here — you deserve better.

didn’t feel safe, clean, or cared for.
1) When moving out, my door quite literally fell off its hinges and I wasn’t able to close my door properly. With no emergency contact or anything, I staked out the night until the morning at which i asked the front desk for a repair. In return I heard snarky comments about how the hinge falling off was likely my fault. Although they did later come and fix my door, the man insisted on how the issue was partially my fault. I just felt kind of put off by it since it is their job to manage the property when things break down and to care for the residents.
2) On numerous occasions, I have ran into dangerous unhoused individuals among the lobby and trash area, there is no consistent security available at the lothlorien location.
Lowkey too lazy to write anymore in detail but I have issues with trash, fire alarm noise, domestic abuse noise, squatters, elevator and floor cleanliness, and package pickup which other residents agree with me on
please look at other options before really settling for yugo. yugo is a no go

It has been 5 months since I moved out and I still have not received my $1790 security deposit back. I have asked for it in person at least 4–5 times, and followed up by phone and email at least 7–8 times, but received no any clear update.
The worst part is the extremely rude attitude from their staff. When I went in person asking about the deposit, the male staff member literally said to me:
"We don't know where it is neither, then what do you want? You have any question?"
I just want my deposit returned according to the law.😓

If you find yourself in unit 325, LEAVE immediately. You'll be living next to a squatter. Management will not divulge any information, nor have they remedied the situation for the entire year the unit was leased. I believe this squatter situation was a preexisting condition and they knew it and yet they still rented out the adjacent unit to us...as in, I don't think they will address the situation for the next unfortunate tenant in 325. The squatter's apartment, unit 301, will have 2 water leaks which means your belongings will also be waterlogged, you'll be hearing lots of arguments at all hours, banging on the door, oh, and their door will be missing locks, tons of drug activity, smell of urine they try to mask with vinegar, almost forgot, squatters started a fire as well and we had to call 911, that and multiple calls to police...all the while, management does nothing. Not to mention we never got the reimbursement for the overage in utilities from the water damage (they used our utilities for their 24x7 blowers to dry). I also think there is mold in the bathroom they just covered up. Do not be fooled by the cheap price. This location is terrible. Gun violence, stabbings...all just a normal day. Everything in the common areas also just feels dirty. Just so tired and can't wait to be done with this chapter. Didn't live there for the majority of the lease due to safety and health concerns. Did I mention that management has done nothing? DO NOT RENT HERE! I urge you to flee before it's too late.

I took over a sublease here and it’s been a disaster from day one. The apartment was absolutely filthy when I moved in — no cleaning, no inspection, nothing. Don't even get me started abou the microwave I asked management about it, and they basically said it was my problem. No accountability whatsoever.
The unit itself is falling apart. The door seal is coming off, the heater doesn’t work, and one of the outlets is completely dead. On top of that, I walked into what felt like 200 flies swarming around. Disgusting.
The management is just as bad. They work super limited hours, and even when you try to go in during those hours, they’ll tell you they can’t help unless you come at some super specific time. They genuinely do the bare minimum, if that.
For what they charge in rent, literally anywhere else would be a better choice. This place is low-effort, poorly managed, and not worth the headache.
