My son and I moved into what is now known as Waters Edge on my birthday in the summer of 2020. It was a fresh, new start for us. The neighbors are friendly, respectful, and tight knit. To my son and I, this is our santuary, Home. The newest renovations and upgrades are lovely and more modern. Since moving in, we have seen quite a few management teams and owners come and go. I have to say I feel more blessed with our most recent management team. I'm sure we can agree that this past year has become very difficult and a bit scary for all of us. Since moving in, my son has been diagnosed, he is a special needs child. Anyone who is one, knows that single parenthood alone is very hard. We are in the process of applying for my son's resources, but as you know it IS a process. The Kahuna Management team has been incredibly understanding, supportive, and kind, shining a light on what was thought to be dark times. The team has brought in a new manager, Miss Elysia, who I have come to know and appreciate. She is not only a site and office manager, but she is knowledgable, resourceful, very good at finding solutions, and dedicated to our growing community. The Kahuna management team sees and regards the tenants as people. We are a person, more than just a tenant and a number. Our maintenance is always friendly, and always hard at work, responding quickly when possible, to meet our needs. Now its not always buttetflies and rainbows, it is a complex, and a business, and there have been some issues as this is an older complex. But Im grateful that the fear and worry of losing my home is no longer and I am able work hard at keeping it way. I'm so sorry for babbling so long, but if you're looking for a place to live that is more community, friends and family, caring for each other, more than just neighbors, a team that cares for you as a person and understanding of the difficult times we're all facing, and a strong and dutiful manager doing her best to keep order, protecting the grounds, and continues to meet the needs of you and the growing community, then you are home at Waters Edge. This is the longest thank you i guess. My apologies for that. Thank you to all of Waters Edge for all you've done for my son and myself. The 4 stars are only because there's always room for home improvement. Merry Christmas.

My apartment flooded out 2 months ago. I got a one time compensation when it occurred. When the water damage occurred. It started out outside the house. The manager elysia called a plumber who told he told her he could not do the repairs he can do a leak test (pumps air into the line and they listen for bubbles) but not repair. He did it water came inside the house. She was notified they sent out a carpet cleaning company to do the water mitigation. Water was still flowing we called her multiple times the Maintenance man called her. She claims to have 30 years experience but she doesn’t know how to treat tenants. She’s constantly belittling the tenants she cut people off mid sentence. I have a little baby at the house and in my work experience I was a remedial specialist. She’s claiming there’s no mold from a water damage and particle board cabinets. She’s lying particleboard doesn’t dry out it absorbs She doesn’t know what she’s doing. She makes empty promises and all the five star reviews are the owners Betsy is over there in the Phoenix office. Eliza is in the main office at the apartment complex. All of them are managers for Kahuna Management. Do not listen to the five star reviews more realistically this is like a half a star place.

To rent and apartment is cheaper here than many other places. They did finally provide a portable AC unit after a prolonged outage. The pool is nice. Have not had any issues with other residents. It is hard to get maintenance to your apartment. It's neigh impossible to get ahold of someone in the office. My vehicle has sustained significant damage several times in the parking lot, and has been broken in to- there are no cameras to see what happened. The complex is next to a small wash and homeless people are in the parking lot.. There are no security gates. The windows and doors are old and thin, not very secure. The swamp cooler goes out in the summer for weeks at a time and there is no urgency to fix it.

If I could give this place and its management zero stars, I would. The AC was not working all summer, we all burned up. They should’ve sent a mass message saying we could get a portable AC. I didn’t know about it until ANOTHER RESIDENT told me about that option. It still wasn’t enough against Tucson Heat. Just the other day I lost brain cells overnight because management didn’t notify me that the above apartment was being painted. I inhaled that ALL night against my will. I have nowhere else to stay. Neither does my cat. I sent a message to management. It’s been multiple days, and no reply. I wanted to talk to her in person today and the other day as well, but I’m only available before work 9-9;30 am. Elycia unfortunately is never in before 10 am when I can talk. Supposedly the office is open at 9am. She is never manning the office before that time. I have picture and email evidence to support these statements.

This property is gorgeous! The new interior upgrades are so nice! I love the pool area and gym! The manager and maintenance are the best, and the location is close to everything. They are even offering one month free plus all move in fees waived. When my lease is up I’m moving here!
