The apartment itself was fine, and Bri at the office was always nice and understanding. However, there are multiple issues that prompted me to give this review. I was caught between management changes, and I was not given a move-in inspection causing my initial complaints about the apartment being dirty (pet hair and cat urine like smell) getting lost during this process and the sudden changes in renters insurance requirements caused issues, including being charged twice. The office also missed my scheduled move-out inspection, and I returned the keys after professionally cleaning the unit, yet standard cleaning and painting fees were applied automatically, including a $450 charge for a “heavy odor of spices,” which is subjective and possibly amplified due to the apartment being shut for a while. I’d also say this is unavoidable considering the size of the house and windows that only open a few inches and after living for almost 1.5 years. Overall, the move-out process left a very negative ending to my stay. Pros: good amenities, well located with bus stop in front , Cons: heavy move out charges (~$700 for a 450 sq ft studio, even more if you get a carpeted unit), extremely noisy as it’s facing the street and has a cafe that’s open till 11 PM right underneath so there’s always a crowd under your window. Unpredictable office hours and check the ledger every month for extra unexplained charges. Overall I would not recommend considering the hefty process of moving out. I am quite positive there is no way of avoiding these charges if you live in an apartment and will be slapped default charges since I was charged an initial $250 for cleaning as well when I returned the apartment cleaned.
