I am starting my 5th year here at West University Gardens Apts. I have to say this complex has a community feel almost like a family. The staff is amazing Melissa is an absolute gem and she genuinely cares about her residents. Maintenance is awesome as well Mallory and James are on top of any issues or repairs that need to be made. Even the owner is great he is making improvements to the community every chance he gets. I love it here and so does my family. I would recommend living here if you want a quality place to live with people who genuinely care.

The most amazing management/maintenance team I have worked with! Not a better team to address matters with tenants and they do so with the utmost enthusiasm!

After 2 years of living here, I wanted to leave an honest review about my experience. Management is great, and it feels like a small community. My concerns were always addressed throughout my time here, and I never encountered an issue with neighbors, or the property itself. Parking was always very easy, with my guests also (just make sure you are parked in the right place). The only hiccup I ever did come across was with packages, but the post office in Bryan/College Station is just terrible so not the apartments fault lol. The property manager Melissa, is a queen. She is the hardest worker ever, and her interest very obviously lies in the happiness of the residents. Overall, I loved living here it was so easy, affordable and everything is a short distance from there. Coming from someone who was new to navigating the world in college and stumbled across this small community, I would proudly recommend living here.

I’ve been living at West University Gardens for over a year now, and it’s been a fantastic experience! The management team is incredibly responsive and always goes above and beyond to ensure residents are happy. The grounds are well-maintained, and the amenities—especially the pool is top-notch. My apartment is spacious, modern, and has all the conveniences I could ask for. The location is great, with easy access to shopping, dining, and public transportation. Overall, I couldn’t be happier living here. Highly recommend!" By the way Melissa in management is just the absolute best!!

I lived in this apartment complex for one year, and while this review isn't meant to bash the property, I want to share my honest experience.
Maintenance is extremely slow. Many of my work orders went unresolved until about three months before I moved out, and one was never addressed at all. My AC broke a couple of times during the summer, leaving me with many hot nights while waiting for repairs.
There’s also a bad roach problem, despite keeping my apartment spotless and never leaving food out. It might be due to the age of the building, but it was a persistent issue. The property also floods when it rains, which made walking pets difficult. Most people, including myself, had to take their dogs to a different field across the complex to avoid the flooded areas.
Parking is another major issue. Since the day I moved in, there was supposed to be assigned parking, but nothing ever got done about it. On top of that, they don’t want your friends or family staying for more than 3-4 days because they would take up visitor parking, which was frustrating.
While management is nice, I never felt like more than just another resident. They didn’t seem to care much about individual concerns. There’s also only one maintenance worker for the whole complex, which explains the long delays for repairs.
Lastly, don’t expect to get your deposit back. Even after cleaning my apartment better than how I received it, they charged me for small things like dirt on the front door from rain, despite the door being old and worn.
While the apartment has potential, I would recommend considering these issues before moving in. Hopefully, management addresses these concerns in the future.
