This has been one of the best apartment communities I’ve lived in. The leasing office staff is professional, friendly, and always willing to help. Maintenance is prompt, respectful, and gets the job done right the first time. The community feels safe and peaceful. The location is very convenient, making commuting and errands easy. Overall, I’m very happy with my experience here and highly recommend this community to anyone searching for a great place to call home.

Absolute horrible place to live. Maintenance barely fixes issues when you open a ticket, several times. The units are built like brick ovens, baking you in 80+ degree summers. Rent sky rockets each year. And the staff literally loose documents and information pertinent to you being a resadent, such as if you have paid parking, if you have a pet, ect. Please avoid living here at all costs. And this has not counted the feq instances of drive by shootings that have taken place at night before.

I really looked forward to living here. After my boyfriend and I came into the office to see what was available, we were told the application for the unit we had chosen would be sent to us, and it never was. After a few hours I decided to just apply from their website. Looking though the application on line, we found something that was better suited for our needs so I called the office to verify and was told to go ahead and apply for that unit instead. After being approved, which I had to call to check because we were not contacted by the office, the lease was sent to us with a much higher price than what was advertised. We contacted the office and were asked if we had proof the price was originally lower, which we didn't ( TAKE PICTURES/SCREENSHOTS OF EVERYTHING YOU SEE ON LINE) we were told there was nothing that could be done, which we understood and didn't make a big deal about, we simply chose a different unit and were told the manager would send us the new lease to sign, the new lease was never sent to us. After waiting a couple of days we decided to back into the office to see what was going on. After going back and forth for several minutes with 3 different ppl, we were told that they would try to work something out for us, and that they would call us later, which they didn't. I called the next day and again was asked to wait for their call at 3pm, and again, no call came. I called the office at 4, and was told the only available unit was our second choice, but at a higher price than I was originally told. I asked if the original price could be honored since that lease was never sent to me as they had promised, and again I was asked to wait for them to verify if that was possible. Tired of waiting with no actual answers or help, I decided to cancel the application and asked for my fees back since the ball was dropped from their part (as well as mine since I did apply for a unit different than what we had originally chosen, since the application was never sent to me) but I was told they were nonrefundable, which absolutely made me upset, but I understood. If you are applying here verify EVERYTHING you see and are told, and keep records/ proof even of phone conversations.

Cons
One of the biggest issues that I encountered. AC. I had multiple issue with my AC over the year that I stayed at this place. It could not keep my unit cool without running constantly which drove my electric bill through the roof. 1 bed 1 bath by myself was costing me over $200 a month in electricity.
Community Laundry. This is another large issue that's been going on and it's seem to have gotten much worse towards the end. The whole 15 months I rented only 2 washers ever actually worked, the dryers were not as bad. Many times I've lost money to the washers not actually spinning out my clothes leaving them soaked and needing a second round. The last few months it also seemed like no one was even bothering to clean the place next to the leasing office. Not sure what is going on there.
Maintenance is slow, sometimes never actually coming in to fix something. I myself have a strange work schedule and a dog in the unit so I do understand them not wanting to enter when I'm not home, however I was never able to get a time frame like setting up a day for them to fix certain things.
Pests were another large issues. When I had my surrounding neighbors move out the roaches flocked to my unit and I fought like crazy to get rid of them for months. The worst being when a rat found a way into my unit, I laid out traps and sealed what I could when I could but it was never actually caught and I could hear it in the ceiling.
Now my work had me coming home late at night, at this time coming back I would often find myself walking into groups of people smoking weed. The smell is obvious. I don't care personally what people do on their off time but it is something that happens and had become more frequent just before I left.
Hot water was also inconsistent in my unit, I dealt with it without putting in a request but it was hit or miss with maintaining the temperature.
Pros
Location! Them being near Beltline and Preston means you have access to everything you could need. Food, Stores, Restaurants and Work. They have a good choice of everything you could need in the area.
Price! These are cheap apartments for what is going on around here! If not for the pests that I was dealing with and my desire for a larger unit with washer and dryer in unit I would have continued renting just for the price alone.
Staff. I never had an issue with any of the staff or the maint. people there. They were always friendly, polite and quick to try and help with whatever issues I had!
Neighbors were friendly, never had an issue with any of them regarding noise or parties or anything of that nature. Most were friendly and helpful.
All in all. I give them a 4 out of 5. 3 being Dead Average. The issues that I faced were minor save for the laundry area and the AC, which were by far the biggest issues to go up against in terms of bills and time spent washing clothes.
So if you're needing a place that is not $1600 for a 1 bed 1 bath I suggest The Lexington, the friendly staff will be more than happy to get you set up and get you a place to live!

I can’t express my frustration enough! The laundry equipment they have does NOT work properly washer and dryers are constantly out of order, dryers start up and when you come back they have been shut down for some odd reason maybe a breaker issue not sure but this is very frustrating. Update: Our lease has ended and let me tell you that no matter how clean you leave the apartment they will still deny to give your deposit back. I made sure the apartment was very clean when leaving and guess what!? They came back saying we were the cause of bringing in cockroaches, are you kidding me? What happened to all the work orders we put in during the year of our lease for them to bring pest control. But of course they don’t take that into consideration. Any way just wanted to give the community a heads up on this apartment complex be careful and don’t try to do your best at cleaning the unit because they don’t care!
