I just visit there on a regular and i appreciate there not being any towing
I’ve been living here for almost a year. When I moved in everything was great until my washer flooded. I had the maintenance person hook it up so I wouldn’t mess anything up. They came as it was flooding the dining area and never checked back for mold. When I asked why it went through the wall and didn’t stay in the laundry room, they told me they had no idea and they never checked for mold after. If there is moisture between walls, mold WILL form. Fast forward to April 3rd. My new upstairs neighbors have the same issue. Their washer floods. The water starts coming through my ceiling and runs down the walls, covering my washing machine in an orange film. I told them when it happened, mold WILL grow. They didn’t believe me. I called back a couple days later when I noticed mold growth. Nobody came. I called again. Nobody came. My dishwasher breaks. Someone comes. I ask yet again why the water is flowing into my living room and second bedroom, not staying in the general kitchen area like it should. I inform them the baseboards must not be sealed all the way and that’s why we’re seeing traveling water of this caliber. The MANAGER then tells me they don’t have to which is true however, it would prevent things like this from eating away at the structural integrity of the building structure and prevent pests from having a breeding ground. I also told them mold will form between the boards since they aren’t sealed all the way. They disagreed and I immediately popped out with “like my laundry room?” They finally look at all the mold. I have plenty of documentation of it. They spray a paint primer that they tell me kills the mold. “Kilz” PREVENTS mold. It does not kill it. Google it for gods sake. Long story short, they came out a total of 4 times. The mold is still there, but they just keep spraying it with the paint primer. This is truly insanity. My unit is unlivable. I’m congested. I feel gross. I have constant headaches from having to do my laundry and sleep in a mold infested apartment. My cats shouldn’t have to be punished for the managements ignorance and neglect of their property, and neither should I. If this isn’t taken care of this month, I’m strongly considering getting an inspector of my own for mold specifically, and seeing what a lawyer has to say about me paying in full for an extremely unhealthy and unlivable apartment. I’m truly tired of management telling me I’m stupid for knowing how to deal with things I know a lot about. (Even though most of it is strictly common sense.) shout out to Kylie. None of this is directed towards you. You’re an angel. You need a raise. A big one. You’re the only one that took my concern seriously. Ps I will add photos to this post eventually. Can’t find my laundry room ones but this is my water heater. All that gunk is black mold. Don’t live here. DONT I repeat DONT lease with them or the ones next to them with the blue units.
