Living there was ok besides the garage door breaking and a homeless person living in the stairwell for a week and using it to defecate. 2 apartments down from us burning down, and moving into a fire hazard apartment from lint not being removed from the prior tenets,or them cleaning it out or flooring turning your feet black, and watch out for move out fees take pictures before you move in! I did and they said “not enough proof”…

Terrible unresponsive management. The hallways always smell terrible and it’s not clean at all. Things constantly broken or not working. The hallways are designed in a depressing maze like pattern it feels similar to being in a horror movie. Parking garage has bad ventilation and is constantly dirty including broken glass on the ground from other tenants that has been there for months.

This place is very safe. The maintenance crew rocks. They will literally come in and unclog your toilet. It's a bit boring, but at least there is a gym.

One star is still too high. Don’t live here if you enjoy safety and cleanliness. They charge a high price for their “secure” parking that broke for 3 months and random people were breaking into cars and living in the garage. The locks on the doors seldom work and there are always random people walking around the common spaces. The property management also doesn’t maintain the common spaces. I’ve found human feces on the first floor, trash and other disgusting things in the community living spaces. There has been 3 kids shoes that have been sitting outside my door for MONTHS. Instead of taking care of the trash they keep setting it beside my door. If you have an issue with something good luck reaching the office because they are never there to answer their phones and service requests take forever to get filled. I didn’t have heat in my apartment for 3 months and it was only after ice week that they finally tried to fix it. It got so cold I actually couldn’t live in my apartment and had to go stay elsewhere. This apartment could be fine, but the management is so terrible that it makes living here a horrible and aggravating experience.

Management has been doing a great job of keeping up with maintenance requests and communication in recent months. While the office did help during the renewing process, PTLA property management has made it nearly impossible to rent without a co-signer by requesting a ridiculous amount as proof of income. I wouldn’t recommend this property to a student or anyone living independently. Parking is also a hassle. Good for families or students with financial support though! Again, the office team is great!
