LOOK ELSEWHERE! Hilltop, much like its sister communities, has management that reeks of incompetence and neglect. There have been more than TWENTY car breakins during the past few months, and management is dragging their feet installing any real security or peace of mind. They don't care, they simply don't. Nothing gets done with haste unless Hilltop stands to profit some way. And their desk hours are laughable. Oh, you want to pick up a package? Sorry, we decided to close at 4pm today instead of 5 like every other day we're open, for some reason. The staff are at least nice and understanding, which is honestly probably one of the few redeeming qualities about this community. Otherwise, I'd say its a dump. There's a 50/50 chance the apartment you move into will be filthy or have broken furniture, just like mine was when I first moved in. Like I said, LOOK SOMEWHERE ELSE TO LIVE!

I would give zero stars if I could. Do not live here. This was the worst mistake I made in my time at NAU. When I first moved in the place was DISGUSTING. I couldn’t unpack because I had to wipe down the entire place. The countertops and floors were black, there was a sticky substance all over our cabinets, dirt all over the room, scratches in the leather couch, as well as sand and fake nails in the closets. We were missing furniture, the laundry machine broke 4 times in the year and a half we lived there. Rent is beyond high, higher than all of the nicer student apartments. Random fees get added to your payments each month and no one will tell you why. For four months anytime we flipped a light switch or plugged something in the power would go out. One time my roommate plugged a curling iron in and the lights went out, when we put in a service request and asked for help the person at the desk just told us, “well don’t plug stuff in then.” Peoples cars get broken into all the time. Parking is terrible for paying 85 a month. Lastly, the people working will act so nice and like they’re going to help, but they don’t. While trying to sublease my apartment they “couldn’t find” the signed papers from the girl subleasing for me. They did this three times. Maybe spend more time focusing on how you treat your residents than hanging up flyers and calling four times a day to get people to resign.
