We’ve lived here for 3 years and unfortunately have watched this property decline significantly. When we first moved in, the management and maintenance team were fantastic. Since then, turnover has been constant and it shows. Problems rarely get resolved and instead get passed along to the next manager. The dog park is honestly a biohazard at this point. It’s rarely cleaned unless residents sent multiple emails to complain, and at one point staff were literally using Fabuloso on the turf until residents called them out for not using pet safe solvents. The urine smell is so overwhelming you can barely walk past it without gagging. I honestly don’t know how people live in the units above the park. Security is another MAJOR issue. The main gates are constantly broken and at one point were left wide open for nearly two months. There have been multiple car break-ins in the garage, including my own where my window was shattered. Even vehicles stolen! Despite this, there are no security cameras in the garage, only at the gate entrances where they’re far less useful. The “security patrol” is also nearly nonexistent — I see them walking the property maybe twice a month. If you’re considering moving here, do NOT move onto the third floor. The hallways have had a terrible odor for over six months that management has failed to fix. People are literally moving out because of it. Management claims they’re “working on it,” but the only thing that seems to happen is occasional carpet cleaning. At this point the carpet clearly needs to be replaced entirely. Amenities are also poorly maintained. • The hot tub is rarely functioning. • Pool maintenance is lacking • The gym equipment is outdated, and both the bike and elliptical were broken for months. • The grills are so poorly maintained they can literally catch on fire. Safety in common areas is also concerning. We’ve seen unhoused individuals sleeping in the garage, on the shared patio, and even in the hallways. At one point someone was sleeping in a chair that belonged to my neighbors. The unfortunate reality is that the residents care far more about this community than the people running it. The only reason we stayed as long as we did were because we love the neighborhood and we have incredible neighbors who truly look out for each other. The sense of community among residents is the best part of living here. But at this point, the property would honestly be better managed by the people who live here than the leasing office.

Good place to live. I love the view of my apartment just directly to Camelback. The leasing office staff — particularly Alicia and Poleth — are exceptionally responsive and always willing to help with whatever you need. The area is pretty cool with lots of restaurants and coffees. The neighbors are friendly and welcoming. The only area with some room for improvement is the consistency of common area cleaning as well the shut down of doors and parking gates, though the staff genuinely puts in the effort. Overall, I would recommend this community for living.

We’ve at the curve for a short bit now and we absolutely love it. We adore the spacious kitchen, the in unit washer and dryers and location. Our pups are happy with the space and have made new friends at the pup patch! If your looking for a beautiful, reasonably priced apartment in a really cool neighborhood, this is the place!

I've only been here for a short time but living at The Curve on Melrose has been a great experience so far, largely thanks to the management team. I recently had an issue with a neighbor, and Alicia responded to my email almost immediately. Her communication was clear and she kept me updated until the matter was settled. It’s comforting to know that management actually cares and takes action when issues arise. Thank you Alicia!

I’ve lived here for a few months the now and feel like I can share my honest review. The cons of my review do not speak to the complex itself but my fellow residents. Let’s start with the pros: they are very nice apartments for the current rates they are offering which I was so happy for as I wanted to live in Melrose for a while and it’s one of the nicest complexes in the area. It’s not a very old building so while not “renovated” they choose nice finishes that have worked to stay stylish! There are full size washer and dryers in unit. The upstairs common area space is beautiful bother inside and outside as there is a large patio upstairs. The views are wonderful to the south and to the east. All in all I have liked my unit. The cons: My biggest con about the curve are the other residents that live here as they seem to not care about the place they live. There are stains on the carpet, people can’t pick up after their pets, we get constant emails about folks throwing stuff off their balconies and not picking up pet waste. Are we sure we are all adults who live here? I would love to see more aggressive action. I also think breed restrictions on dogs would be nice as there are some aggressive and untrained dogs that people shouldn’t have. One guys poodle leaped at my dog while trying to exit the elevator. The other issue is living on the “suicide” lanes of 7th Ave you have to leave to navigate them and then you are in the gayborhood with clubs and nightlife on the weekend so it can be loud if you are sensitive to noise. The issues I have with the actual complex is that the dog park area really needs some TLC. It smells sooooo bad of dog urine. The gate continues to have issues and has not been secured since I moved in so far but I appreciate their communication. Overall I do like the building I just wish the residents were more respectful. There are plenty of friendly faces and people do say hi but there are some bad apples for sure. The jury is still out if I would want to live here more than my current lease.
