!!UPDATE!! DO NOT MOVE HERE…at least not on the top floor or units facing the pool. I always initially leave a good review, then as I experience living somewhere I adjust accordingly…the same as tipping at restaurants. Also, I wanted to ensure there was no vindictiveness when it came time to return our deposit. Homeless people are regularly in/out of the building although we were paying plenty for the security that was promised with the gated and technological entry points. The old building maintenance crew, Richard and Jose, weren’t the best at keeping up the space but they were at least quick to respond to maintenance requests but now it takes upwards to a week for any minute request because it’s a revolving door. No mention of renting to Air BnB people who don’t care because it’s short term for them. Multiple pool parties and destructive and disgusting behavior because of this. Stanny was new maintenance and should not be blamed for any of this as she was a BRILLIANT light and addition to the team. Office Staff Jadyn and newcomer Stuart, as well has been nothing but helpful, accommodating and supportive. These people deserve 5 stars. Busted pipes and water issues throughout, cheap and old cabinetry falling off hinges, terrible workmanship throughout, just about everything needs upgrading, crazy tenants, allegedly illegal activities from tenants causing their eviction, writing on people’s cars from tenants, entire building and unit in disrepair, there’s also an “aroma” attempted to be masked by the scent spritzers in the hallways that people often steal and vandalize. (See Pics) I had a much longer, detailed layout and pics but I couldn’t post them all here. This place is BAD…ZERO STARS if possible. TLDR: If you insist on moving here DO NOT get a 5th floor unit with the a/c’s on top…the ENTIRE reason for buying and paying more for the top floor is to NOT have someone stomping on your roof…but you will have the “pleasure” from maintenance because the a/c’s are regularly broken. If you can afford this rent plus add-ons for parking which isn’t secure, pets/storage, look elsewhere; maybe somewhere new as there’s plenty down here now or I urge you to rent a house or try to buy one. We could not stay any longer than the yearly contract we signed because of all of these issues and went on ahead and bought a house in a nice quiet, peaceful area, far away from downtown. We stayed in the brand new at the time, Acero in Goodyear previously and NEVER had any of these issues and I don’t recall them claiming luxury...I see now that Iluminate has removed luxury from their description because they know it’s not. I’ve also read and heard from some neighbors that they have the nerve to raise the rent on people choosing to stay because moving IS a hassle but it’s just not worth your money to stay in a dump. The units ARE NOT tenant ready…at least ours wasn’t. It should NEVER have been rented out. You’ve been informed and warned…we couldn’t WAIT to leave. Don’t be fooled by platitudes, if any are bothered to be made. Again, you’ve been warned.

I am a current resident of iLuminate and have lived in the building for over four years. The building sold to new ownership in the summer of 2025 and is under new management. That means all reviews before then do not reflect the current state of the building and management. The main problem has been communication and responsiveness. Management does not respond to emails unless you follow up or go in person, maintenance has taken weeks to make minor repairs when it used to take one day, unexplained bills are sent to our inboxes in the middle of the month, and they are not addressing health issues in the building. The best example of these issues is a recurring foul odor. Management has received complaints from other residents, acknowledged smelling it themselves, and promised to resolve it. However, we are three months into this ordeal with no formal actions taken, unkept promises to perform an inspection, and multiple unanswered emails. I used to really enjoy living here, but since new management has taken over it has been a frustrating experience. I would not recommend living here. *Edit: The issue is you don’t respond to emails which is why I have to post here. You have my contact info, so please reach out so we can set a meeting.
