😵 - since you asked : my brother DID NOT RECEIVE HIS MAIL KEY for 3 MONTHS UPON MOVING IN . Thats unprofessional on so many levels . Twice now I've used the elevator in the building & there are people smoking cigarettes INDOORS STICKING UP ENTIRE FLOORS
There's usually some tweaker outside LEAVING TRASH building.
I RECOMMEND HIRING A SECURITY GUARD TO MAKE SURE THIS PLACE IS SAFE. I fear for my family.

Most everyone who lives here are decent well-meaning neighbors. My experience w/ mgmt & maintenance has met my expectations. I’ve been here for about 5 yrs and for the most part feel listened to & treated respectfully. Sorry to hear that some people have had very difft types of interactions.
I’ve lived in lots of various places from low income, to renting homes, sometimes just rooms & even attics in shared-housing. It has been hard in the past to find the perfect living situation (incl me as a tenant) but I am happy I’ve stayed here for a while.

This community is awesome!
We have lived here Since 2020. Our two bedroom is on a corner of the building. Floor to ceiling windows in our living room and the main bedroom. We have built-in air conditioning, washer, dryer, and dishwasher. The floor plan is comfortable and well thought out. Management of the building is amazing! Madeline makes every effort to take care of the community. She is always on top of any issues that may rise in the community. Maintenance is amazing as well! Maintenance requests are done in a timely fashion and in a very professional manner. Add to all of this the fact that we pay $150 a month flat rate for all of our utilities! Derby Slabtown is one of the best places to live in Northwest!!

Small space not worth the rent. Building manager (if there even is one) is never in and never responds to email. Just got a notice my rent would go up $180 for a studio loft. Terrible security. People always breaking in and stealing things and living in storage unit. Cut locks on storage and people leaving food waste. I normally don't leave reviews but I do not enjoy this experience.

I have lived here since May of 2023 and I haven't had any complaints. I am a young college student so living in this place compared to college dorm rooms is a luxury. I was able to get a two bedroom unit with a washer, dryer, and a balcony.
There has been a quick rotation of new property managers, about 4 while I've been there. I suppose that can be frustrating but I haven't had any issues where I needed to call the property manager for anything and there wasn't anyone to help me.
The old property manager Stacy was really nice and I liked her. She even helped review security footage when I needed her to which was very nice of her! I was a little sad when I found out she left recently.
For a 1900 a month apartment in NW Portland I don't think this place is a bad deal and I enjoy living here! The Triple Lindy and Paymaster bars are right next to the building and I love visiting them as well!
