I've lived in 3 different big cities, and moved to Ovation in January 2025. I've now been here over a year and I have never had a better apartment or staff than here. Kerrie, Alix, Emilee, and Gaby are quite literally the best leasing staff and management that I have ever encountered. They help with absolutely anything and everything you could need. The area is quiet and not far from downtown Dallas, which was my goal. Whole foods, target, gas stations, dinners and sweet treats are all within a 10 minute drive. When Greystar took over the apartments, the leasing staff has continued to make this place better every month. They have put in a new coffee machine that makes lattes and mochas, a tea bar with 20+ teas, and any coffee/tea syrups you can think of. They have done resident appreciation weeks with games, prizes and catered food. We have monthly resident events with all of that as well. The garage also gets power washed every year, which I've never had an apartment do, its fabulous. There's a dog park and dog wash attached to the building. There is a sky lounge for events, a full gym and pool on the 1st floor with grills and cabanas, study & conference room, and a "convenience" store downstairs for snacks and drinks. Highly recommend leasing here!!

I had a great experience with Ovation at Galatyn Park from start to move-in.
Gabriela Contreras showed me around the property and was extremely helpful throughout the application process and made everything smooth and stress-free.
After moving in, I filled out the inventory condition form with 1–2 minor fixes needed. Axel handled them quickly and efficiently with no hassle at all.
Overall, the leasing and move-in process was seamless, and the team has been great to work with. Definitely recommend checking this place out if you're looking in the Richardson area!

My boyfriend and I moved in here 2 days ago, and we are so pleased. From the day that we toured with Gaby, to all the emails with questions we’ve sent her, as well as Emilee, everything has been great. Gaby was always eager to help answer any questions we had and if Gaby wasn’t available, Emilee would reach out to us. The management team are amazing and so welcoming and kind. The apartment complex with its amenities is super nice and feels very luxurious. The apartment itself was cleaned and repainted by the time we moved in and it felt super clean. Unfortunately our washer didn’t work when we moved in but once we talked to Gaby, she immediately put in a maintenance request for us! They’re very service-minded and we appreciate their eagerness to help and make sure everything is working okay.

I will start buy saying I am glad I am here at this time. Not planning on moving and think we picked the correct location. My rating is my experience and as you read through, everyone sees it differently. I wanted to share only so new prospective residents can make an informed decision.
The staff is great. However, they have many challenges ahead of them that are not their doing. The future is bright if they can manage to stay in front of them. But, if not addressed soon the issues will compound. I only moved in, in October and am already starting to see and feel their pain. Again, they are working to resolve so I am not reflecting disappointment with staff. I have had great interaction with all staff and they truly seem to care. Kudos!
Resident issues - as with all communities you will have resident issues that will be resolved with time. Major concerns with trash being thrown in trash rooms as opposed to putting in the shoot. I have gone into the trash room numerous times to see the shoot left open, preventing other floors from use, and trash piled on floor. The residents either dont understand how to use the rooms or are too lazy to use properly. Both need to be addressed. Watch out - others don't. Fast driving in the garage is an issue. Just waiting to hear the crunch. And finally, propping open doors and damaging door equipment. I see residents jerking on doors, forcing them open without their key fobs. So many doors are now in disrepair. Going to be a big bill. I also see doors being left wide open to the outside elements (not for loading and unloading) I love the volume/noise so far. I have not yet experienced any loud or unruly neighbors.
Building issues are a result of many factors, but doors are broken and left open - basically we are heating and cooling the outside world. Need to get the doors fixed and secured. Otherwise you need to change the HVAC to fan only in the halls as you are wasting money. Access doors don't work. Smart features don't work. Again, the management is trying but when you are renting a "Luxury" apartment - the things you pay for need to work. Residents have options to go to other access points to get in, but need all access and technology to work if that is a line item we will pay.
Communication. I would like to see more alerts, we are aware, teaching and other communication to the residents on ways to fix the community. Send notes on how to use the trash rooms. Send notes on door issues and timelines. My bike was stolen from the exterior bike room. Send notes to residents to be aware this room is not a good option at this time for bike storage. Again, the guys are great when you ask them to look into items, but help the community also know and be aware. I think this could help me as a resident feel as if solutions are coming.
I will give the community an average rating overall, staff currently an above average, but look forward to seeing the outcome of the many challenges they have in front of them.

I would not lease here. My experience was average from the start of my lease in April 2025. Unfortunately on July 22nd, my apartment flooded. Some of my property was damaged. I was moved out on July 8th. From July 8th to August 18th I was out of the apartment. They said that the apartment was ‘livable”. I can’t live in a space that is under construction with all of my things shoved into the bedroom and living room for over a month and a half. There was a point where the water was turned off. How would I have been able to cook or take a shower.
Sydney Voss, the manager, is completely unavailable. You can never get in contact with her. She is never in the office and it takes forever to get a response back from her. She also does not seem to care about what is going on. When the flood first happened she was kind and offered me a new space and even toured it with me which I accepted. I was also told that I would get a credit for rent. When the time came for the offer to be accepted she informed me that I could no longer go into the unit and that I would have to go to a hotel. She also said that I would still be responsible for rent for a unit that I would not be living in for almost 2 months. Mind you, she said that the repairs would only take 3-8 days at first. It escalated to where I had to speak to her manager Joshua Adams who, after a lot of pushback, credited me one month BUT I had to leave the hotel. I accepted since I have family that lives close by. They are still charging me rent for the time that I was not there.
I still have to pay water and light and amenity fees for the while time that I was not there. They are saying that the city of Richardson has claimed fault. When I called them, they said that It was no fault of theirs. I also found out that the same thing happened in February of 2025 in the same location. An independent contractor came out and said the flood is due to the way that ovation built their pipes and this this will happen again.
To make things worse, my PlayStation 5, diamond earrings and Balenciaga shoes were stolen. The combined value of those items is $3,000. I found this out on August 13th when I went to grab some clothes. I noticed throughout the renovation period that my door was unlocked and that there was no way to lock it. I went to the apartment on August 8th to grab something and I distinctly remember putting my earrings on the left hand bedside table. I could not find them when I returned on the 13th. I was confused. I went to the living room to get something and noticed that the PlayStation was gone. That’s when I realized that things had been taken. I went back to the room and the only other thing that I could notice at the moment were the Balenciaga shoes, but I will continue looking for what could be missing. I did let Sydney know on the 13th. She sent a generic “sorry” message and has not updated me since. The annoying thing is that she knows that I need to speak to her but she NEVER reaches out without me initiating. And when I tell the leasing agents to tell her to call me, she does not.
The apartment is saying that the company MATRIX, the builders, are potentially responsible for the theft. All I know is that I expect FULL compensation for the rent, water, light and stolen items in addition to the INSANE inconvenience of living here. I had to go buy $200 worth of cleaning supplies to get that sewer smell out of my apartment. I had to clean my rug, couch and mop the entire space for over 6 hours to get the smell out.
The only light is that Austin and Axel, the maintenance team, are excellent. They go out of their way for literally everyone. Read other reviews and you’ll see that it’s the truth. The one star is for them, otherwise I’d leave ZERO for this property. Derrick, the leasing agent, was an important asset to the team. Unfortunately he is no longer with the company. He, along with Austin and Axel, is the only reason that this property has 5 star reviews.
I tried to be easygoing and calm. Didn’t work in my favor.
Look at these pictures.
