We had the most wonderful experience working with Joy while searching for my next apartment. From the moment we met, Joy was warm, professional, and incredibly knowledgeable. She took the time to really understand what we were looking for and curated a selection of apartments that matched our preferences perfectly.
Every showing was organized, stress-free, and even enjoyable—something I didn’t think was possible during the apartment hunt! Joy was honest, transparent, and never made me feel rushed or pressured. Instead, she answered every question with patience and offered helpful insights that made our decision so much easier.
We’re so grateful for her help and would highly recommend Joy to anyone looking for a new place. It’s rare to find someone who genuinely cares about helping you find a home—not just an apartment. Thank you for everything, Joy!
Originally, when I leased here, the building was well kept, and the staff was extremely helpful and attentive, I worked with Gracie, Abner, and Tina but shortly after they all left many things changed as well as the behavior of the leasing office. I'll list my experience below along with pros and cons.
Pros:
- The porters do an amazing job; they are hard working and kind in greeting residents. The hallways get shampooed pretty often, during my residency, they shampooed my floor 3 separate times. The exterior landscaping is always maintained very well, dog feces are always picked up and the landscape is always spot less along with the dog park area. Leah, one of the staff members, was always informative, kind, and professional as well, she is a great asset to Vora.
Cons:
- My upstairs neighbor in #503 was loud all day, every day. They would run marathons upstairs and the noise was so extreme it sounded like they were rearranging and moving heavy furniture between hours of 1 am to 6 am. Do yourself a favor and avoid renting #403, you will not get any sleep. I am not sensitive to noise either and understand apartment living but they were horrendous. I would wake up to them screaming and calling each other names and their dog being left home alone between 3 am to 7 am. It was so exhausting to keep contacting the office I feel like the office stopped addressing their noise issues tbh.
- Another con is the maintenance manager David; he is prejudice and dismissive. One day I sent my guest down to grab my duffle bag from my car (no fob needed- just walking down) and David was there around 8 pm and asked my guest who he was and if he can see his ID. That was upsetting because I am familiar with policies and this is discrimination, if he is asking one person for identification then he should be asking everyone. This is completely against fair housing laws.
- The garage gate started breaking constantly for the last couple months I was there, they ordered parts and "hired" security to monitor the garage but only had security there for 3 days max it was sketch and I was worried my vehicle would be broken into by morning because all the homeless nearby. The area is grimy, and a million low-income people live at the corner building, slang drugs, smoke weed, make a mess and make the area worse than what it already is.
- There was always urine on the 1st floor stairwell too. Homeless definitely made their way in.
- They charged me $55-60 a month for trash, for 1 person in a 700 sq foot apartment. Very excessive. Residents always dumped their oversize bulk items in the garage I don't understand why they would not charge them individually versus the community having to split the charge. Oversized bulk outs are expensive, and we had to pay the price. Trash was everywhere.
- My fob stopped working so I emailed and called for 4 straight days with no response. I was sick so I did not need to leave my home but buying groceries sucked because I had to keep using the stair due to them being nonresponsive. They finally made me one, so I went to the office, and it could not be located. I returned another day, and it was 'promised that it would be ready' but still, they could not find it. They then gave me a random new move in's fob which then deactivated a week before I moved out.
- My AC stopped working a week before I moved out and I never had anyone stop by to fix it. They decided it wasn't worth looking over since I was moving out. I had to move and pack in a hot apartment and had no option of running AC.
- Also, the residents in the townhouse on level 1 made their unit a coffee shop which might be approved as a work live space, but the decorations were tacky. They also need to be inspected because their home is hoarded up and it was very unsanitary. I doubt their coffee shop is rated an A+ rating.
- Lastly, it's been over 21 days, and I still have not received an itemized statement of deposit but knowing Greystar they will try and argue how they have all the right to 'not' forfeit my deposit. Not worth $2.9k a month for homeless central
