Current resident in this building. The amenities are nice and the leasing staff plus concierge are friendly. But there are some fundamental problems in the building.
The freight elevator has been broken for the last 3 months with multiple promises of it being fixed in the "next few weeks". With the freight elevator out, it's not uncommon to wait 10-15 minutes for the elevator over the weekend. Even with the freight elevator operational, the elevators are slow compared to other buildings.
On top of that, the building has intermittent hot water and water pressure issues. Also the management conducts annual inspections saying they're required by city and state laws, even though I couldn't find any law which says that. I have lived in other buildings in Seattle and have never received an annual inspection notice.
Despite the discount on rent in this building compared to others, I'd highly recommend not moving here.

It's not a well-constructed building. We've lost hot water in several areas of the building multiple times. Amenities & elevators frequently malfunction. Trash chutes often clog. The garage door is super slow and at times won't open at all - I couldn't drive to work one day because the door was broken. Also the new chargepoint car chargers are terrible.
From the management side, there's a lot of turnover and communication of building-wide notices can be very slow. Last month they had issues with renewing leases and we weren't informed in a timely manner. We were almost automatically put on a month-to-month lease. It was a whole thing to get a proper lease signed.
Concierge staff is great. Cecelia is the best - always friendly and helpful.
Views are great too and location is very cconvenient. The location is probably the primary reason I still live here.

I toured Kinects in December and was promised a tour recap email along with photos, pricing information, and videos right after the tour. Payton promised I’d receive an email and that I don’t have to take photos/videos myself. However, I never received it. A few days later, I called them, left a message, sent multiple emails, no response.
Finally, I called them again and asked for photos, videos, or any visuals. To my surprise, I received just a list of available apartments with no videos/no visuals. Like I could have easily found that information online myself!!
Since obtaining video tour was impossible, I had to schedule a second tour just to take those photos and videos myself! When I showed up on time, this time a different leasing agent, Colten, was 30 minutes late. He then informs that he had replied back to my email. When I checked my email, he sent the video I asked for two weeks ago, ONE hour before my second tour!! Then he questioned why I even showed up for the second tour LOL. (It is because your office doesn’t know how to respond to emails). Not only that, but also throughout the entire tour, he was rude and dismissive. When I requested to see the gym again, Colten’s response was “Oh, did you not see it last time?” I believe your job is to show people whatever amenities they wish to see and have some decent customer service skills. If you hate your job that much, consider picking a different profession, Colten. He made me feel like I was being so bothersome for asking to tour the place.
I honestly really liked the apartment and the amenities and would’ve loved to live there. However due to this terrible service we received and for that reason only, I decided not to live at Kinects. If this is how they treat potential residents, imagine what they would do if I’d moved in. Food for thought.

I lived in Kinects for about 1.5 years. Going to move out soon. I had an overall decent experience... there are some things that they can improve on.
Pros:
* Great gym, view, pool, and amenities.
* Fun events sometimes.
* Good location, walkable to Cap Hill, Downtown, SLU.
* Management is responsive. Shoutout to Brianna.
* Maintenance is responsive to requests.
Cons:
* Roller shades are awful. They don't shield that much light and you will get sunburnt indoors. Forget about sleeping well without blackout curtains, especially in the summer.
** I set up curtains but those are difficult to do in this apartment due to large windows, without breaking the bank.
** One time the roller shades fell down and it took 3 weeks to get it repaired, so I was blinded by the sun for 3 weeks. Since they use shades managed by a different company.
* The elevators are awful. Sometimes it takes 20minutes to get one. The freight has been down for many months.
* Rent is really really expensive, and increases a lot.
* Poor ventilation in the kitchen. When I do searing or high heat cooking, I have to open windows and door.
* Hot water and water outages often.

We moved into Kinect Tower three months ago, and this has been the worst building management experience we’ve had.
About two months ago, our unit flooded due to a plumbing failure in the hallway directly in front of our entrance door. The water entered overnight, and by 6:30 a.m. we woke up to find the entire unit underwater.
Kinect Tower responded very slowly and provided no clear communication and no repair timeline. Although our unit was uninhabitable for an entire month, management provided only two nights in a guest room. For the remainder of that time, we were left to deal with the situation on our own.
During that month, industrial fans ran 24/7 for several days (extremely loud). Closets had to be emptied, flooring was covered, walls were cut open, and the unit was filled with dust and debris. More than one month later, the unit is still not fully repaired.
Despite sending over 10 emails, we received nothing more than a generic apology and “thank you for your patience.” There was no rent compensation and no accountability — we paid full rent during the entire repair period. This situation was handled with a complete lack of professionalism and care for residents.
I would give zero stars if possible. I strongly do not recommend living here.
