Absolute worst nightmare dealing with housing with ASU. They will not tell you if you have housing until 2 weeks before class begins. How can you plan for such a time consuming process in under two weeks. You can't! So you take your chances and pray you will have housing, or you try to find living off campus. The move in and move out process is terrible.

I wish i could give them 0 stars. I moved out of my room in may and realized they charged me $50 to remove a command strip. YEP FIFTY DOLLARS FOR A COMMAND STRIP. Not only did this happen but i also had many issues throughout the year when my roommate threatened to kill me and they did nothing! Loved every experience at ASU other than the housing department.

I absolutely can't wait until I finally live off campus. I have been with ASU housing for a year and a half and I have always had problems with them. They take forever to respond to emails, and when I finally get in contact with them, they are not helpful at all. When I was moving to Barrett Upperclassman dorms, I was placed with a man, and when I emailed, they told me I wasn't, which was untrue. I had to call and wait 30 minutes on the phone for someone to finally answer and switch me to a different room. Then, the next room they put me in, they placed me with someone 3 years older than me, so I asked if I could room with someone closer to my age, and they moved me to another room with a person that was the same exact age as the last. I have continuously had problems with my current roommate and I have discussed it with them and my CA and nothing changes, so I put in a transfer request to my friends room, which I know what available, and they told me no. I can't even use my kitchen because of how disgusting my roommate is, and I can't even get sleep because of how loud the people above me are. ASU housing does not care about you and will not help you with any accommodations unless you go through SAILS, which takes months. As soon as I finish my semester, I am immediately moving off campus. If you have the option to live off campus, take it. ASU housing is absolutely miserable to work with.

If I could give ASU's University Housing 0 stars, I would. This is the most incompetent division of ASU by far. Not only is housing never guaranteed, but the lack of communication is appalling. The wait times for phone calls can vary from twenty minutes to two hours and if you finally get through, they will refuse to call you back. They are extremely unaccommodating to students with disabilities or mental illness. Personally, I can't afford to live off campus but I would recommend it to anyone who has the option. ASU's University Housing is a joke.

Summer 2020 before I was set to move into my dorm I mailed some stuff to be set in my dorm, then VERY last minute they reassigned me to the OTHER side of campus. My mini fridge I rented through ASU was sent to my first dorm and when I called to have it sent to my new dorm they said it was my responsibility to get it and they said that it was still in my old room. I went there and it was nowhere to be found, they didn't refund me and I never got my fridge. Also, for Summer 202,1 they said there will be an email sent out telling me when to move into summer housing, that was a week and a half ago, and I have only 3 more days until I have to move out completely. ASU housing is very disorganized and doesn't tell students information til the last minute.
