LL Hawkins

I always check reviews and I always go by what others say. I recently had to move from Northern AZ to Oregon and looking for a place that was in a safe neighborhood and where I can walk my dog freely and not worry about things like break-ins etc was a key point for me. Coming from a small town where people leave their cars unlocked and doors open to the city - I wanted to feel safe. I've been here for about 2 weeks now and I have to say Abbey and Jose went above and beyond for me. I had millions of questions and corrections that I had that they helped me out without delay. Stopping in and meeting them both was so nice and everyone I've encountered whether in the elevator, or in the lobby passing by has been great. Truly seems like they care about who lives here and I enjoy that. Other places I've been have rented to literally anyone and I've gotten rude neighbors and even my car broken into. I've had my fair share of apartments I've lived at and so far this is the best one I've lived at. The floor to ceiling windows sold me because I love Natural light and i love the city feel. I'm a short walk from anywhere to cafes and bakeries or Italian or Indian food. (Not to mention a mexican taco truck that serves handmade tortillas) So far so great! They're even adding a gym soon which I'm very much hoping/waiting for.

Lived here for 1.5 years and loved it! Many newer apartments in Slabtown or near the Pearl District charge an arm and a leg for rent, but LL Hawkins had competitive, lower-cost rent for beautiful and spacious apartments. Loved the natural light I got in the winter months with their floor-to-ceiling windows. Great amenities too! They have lots of secured garage parking spaces so there's more availability for new tenants, which is surprisingly hard to find in similar apartment buildings when I toured places. They have a decent amount of storage units too at a reasonable rate in a separate secured area. Secured bike storage as well on each floor with access only for tenants of that floor and an awesome roof and communal area with a grill, kitchen, and view of Nob Hill and Northwest Portland. The building management was extremely helpful when I left for work for several weeks and needed help with a package. The location is also unbeatable, in the heart of Slabtown and 2 blocks away from 23rd Ave. Can't recommend this place enough!
