Gabriela, who toured an apartment that I was interested in, was very cordial and kind. She was able to answer every question I had. Overall pleasant experience at Shannon South.

Shannon South is fortunate to have a Maintenance Supervisor who cares. From scheduling preventative upkeep to handling emergencies with calm efficiency, he demonstrates solid leadership and technical know-how. Residents hear back when they drop a request, and the quality of repairs reflects his standards. If you’re looking for a property with dependable maintenance, he’s a major reason why Shannon South performs well.

THE MANAGEMENT HERE IS SHADY!!! If you are considering renting here, I would strongly recommend you do not. They pad the utility bills to make an extra buck, our water bill has always been under $20 since we have lived here ( unfortunately we are on our 2nd year), then all of a sudden its up to almost $40, then $70 and now its $80, the only excuse they gave my husband was "well the grass is green and we maintained the pool this year" she said she would look into it and call him back, its been a month no return call. This place has been very poorly maintained and it shows. The buildings are old and falling apart. The website says central air and walk in closets which is a flat out lie. There is no central air, its baseboard heaters and one small air-conditioner in the living room wall, that only cools the living room and dining room. While the bedrooms reach 90°+ on hot days. There is asbestos but they dont tell you that, they hide it in the middle of the 60+ page lease. The units are poorly maintained when we moved in the ceilings hadn't been painted or primed and lots of mold on the ceiling mostly in the bathroom but all the rooms had and still have some level of mold. There is an ant problem in the building that we are in but my unit has since been resolved, but i diubt the others have. There are large gaps in the front door. Kids run around unsupervised turning on the water on the outside of the building and leaving it on, then we all get billed for it. The trash is constantly overflowing. Parking is limited at times. In addition to that you are allowed one car per licensed driver with a limit of two cars, multiple people have more than they should and other ppl have ppl staying here that aren't on the lease and since utilities are divided up between the units everyone else has to pay for those ppl since they arent listed on the lease. Property damage is a big risk here my tires were slashed 3 months after moving in. Others have had windows broken or slashed tires too. When we moved in we had no hot water, none at all for 3 weeks. We had to constantly call daily, email daily and beg for hot water. But nope they were too busy and only had one maintenance man at that time so we just had to be patient. Until I finally called and left a voicemail threatening to call code enforcement. Then they finally had maintenance come but he couldn't fix it, it required a plumber or electrician and because Ave5 didnt think we were worthy of the after hours plumbing cost we had to wait til the end of the next day for hot water to be fixed. Their project manager Amir threatens Tennants and is verbally abusive. There is constantly new property managers, new maintenance guys and the emergency maintenance number is always changing. We don't even have a current emergency maintenance number. We have soft spots in our living room and bedroom floor. Lights dim when they feel like it, our deck (were on the second floor) is rotted and needs to be replace. The bathroom fan smells like its burning the water heater closet door has patch jobs and the bath tub has patch jobs all over it in addition to cracks. This place is a disaster. Stay away! You will regret living here. This is the worst experience I have ever had in 23 years of renting. On a positive note the bedrooms are good size. And although the website says walk in closets the bedroom closets are very big and spacious they are not walkin closets. Im pretty sure the windows are the original windows and during the winter they get foggy and wet on the inside. When they do show up to fix something, if it needs replaced they will take from an empty unit and put it in urs. My garbage disposal went out, and because Ave5 doesnt believe their tenants are worthy of new replacements they replaced it by taking one from another unit and putting it in mine, which i find gross. Our fridge drawer doesnt even fit our fridge so it doesnt sit flat its slanted. Seriously I wish I had listened to the other reviewers because this is by far the worst place I have ever lived. Ave5 are shady and dishonest!

I wanted a ground floor , carpeted unit. Pushed back my move in date to "remodel". Messed up my finances and removed the carpet without telling me. That's just the start. The laundry is always broken, the buildings haven't been maintained. It's not a home it's an investment for some group that doesn't care it's your home. Priced to high for amenities and conditions. Trying to find a new place.

My experience with Shannon South has mostly been positive. The Property Manager Crystal is great!!! And now all work orders are being taken care of in an acceptable amount of time. I appreciate this with my work schedule and being a single female here in a big city. ~Thank you!
