I have lived in Mount Vernon Apartments for 14 years, and Im so happy here, I think I will never leave!! First off, I need to talk about "Chris" the maintenance guy. He is the best one, I think, we have EVER HAD!! He is fast, and he does things pretty much.. " PERFECT"!!.... HE IS HERE TO WORK AND HE DOES THAT EVERYDAY!!! He is such a professional person, that he minds his own business and takes his job very seriously....BUT WHEN IT COMES TO THE DOGS ON PROPERTY...HE BECOMES " CHRISTOPHER ROBINS!!!" AND MY DOG THAT DOESNT LIKE HUMANS, LOVES HIM SO MUCH!!! AND HONESTLY THAT MAKES MY DAY EVERYTIME CHRIS AND MY DOG " HONEY" SEE EACHOTHER ,IT 💗 BRINGS TEARS TO MY EYES TO SEE HONEY SO EXCITED AND HAPPY TO SEE HIM!!! WE NEED ALOT MORE GUYS LIKE CHRIS IN THE WORLD, AND I WISH WE COULD CLONE HIM...AND MOUNT VERNON IS LUCKY WE HAVE THE ONE AND ONLY!!!! ❤️ AND OUR NEW MANAGER HANNAH, IS A BREATH OF FRESH AIR!!!! THANK YOU MOUNT VERNON, YOU HAVE GREAT TASTE IN EMPLOYEES THAT ARE PART OF OUR COMMUNITY!!!! SINCERELY KIMBERLY

Chris was so polite and how he showed me the Apartments. He’s such a genuine person. Whoever hires him as a property manager is amazing.

DO NOT RENT HERE!!!! Management is unresponsive most of the time. My son (student at BSU) had a very bad mold problem (visibly coming through the ceiling) in his bedroom above his bed Holly the manager blew off as mildew but, however, it was affecting my son’s health (he became chronically ill with sinus infections, sore throat and swollen lymph nodes. After several trips to urgent care and being cultured for bacteria/ virus’s and many antibiotics that were not responding. The Doctor suggestion mold exposure for his symptoms.
Therefore, I had to bring in an outside mold specialist for testing to the tune of $300. It was brought to Holly’s attention that there was toxic mold in bedroom above his bed. I reached out by email and sent the mold report to her and tried to call and texts for 4 day. She never responded and went on vacation. She knew about this on Tuesday and I emailed her as soon as I got the report on Thursday. NO RESPONSE. When she is out of the office, there is no one managing. She seem very friendly and accommodating when you are apply but it is a façade. She is the only one in charge and is gone Friday-Tuesday and no one can be reached if an emergency happens. The emergency phone number is only maintenance and they are of no help and can’t be bothered! This place is shady at best!!!! Their only solution for remediation of mold is watered down bleach, which by the way, spreads mold spores. They finally let us out of our lease two months early but held our deposit. Not cool! It’s cheap rent for a reason. Beware!

The old bad reviews must be from a different Property Management because this place is awesome. My townhome is so cute and clean and comfortable. This is my first month here and I am so happy that I chose this place. Grounds are well maintained. Holly the manager and Tim the maintenance manager are both so on top of everything and kind. Thank you guys so much for my perfect new little home!

When we originally moved into these apartments we thought it would be short term, but we have now been here a year and a half and counting. Our one bedroom is only $615 a month. There isn't a washer, dryer or dishwasher, but you seriously can't beat the price. If you're trying to save money for other things I definitely recommend staying here. The most recent landlord (Kathryn) has been amazing. She has worked with us time and time again. We have now renewed our lease twice because of her being so easy to work with. When you're renting having a leasing office that works with you and takes care of maintenance in a timely manner makes all the difference.
