I lived here for five years and I have a positive view of it. When I first moved in, I was nervous that there would be a nasty surprise based on the bad reviews. But there was no catch, if you tour a unit and like it and think it's a good value, that's what you're getting. It's a quiet area, maintenance is responsive. If you have a loft, I would not count on being able to use it as a home office; I was never able to get the temperature low enough up there, so I just used it for storage and I set up my desk downstairs. While the HVAC is maybe a bit dated, it was able to keep me cool while working from home during the summer and make the unit plenty cold for sleeping at night. I don't have a point of reference for how much more electricity may have cost compared to a more modern apartment, but it wasn't shocking or unreasonable especially considering water and internet are included. I also did not get hit with unreasonable charges on move out, but you do have to clean according to the cleaning addendum. Unless you hire professional cleaners or put in a lot of work yourself, you may well have your security deposit go towards cleaning fees after you move out. Not a huge deal in my opinion.

HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE!!!
As someone who was trying to help take over someone’s lease I was dismissed by BRIANNA HERNANDEZ for it seemed like asking to many questions. When I was just trying to get my basic knowledge of the fees I was potentially being charged with on the three different wants to pay for rent. I feel really bad for the girl I was trying to rent from for it was due to lack of respect towards a possible new tenant from the leasing agent at Walden Ponds.
Would NEVER rent here EVER!

My son recently moved in and I love so many things about it! It's a quiet complex which is rare in our town! They have a large saltwater pool that is kept clean. The ambience in the complex is very different from other complexes in this area. It's relaxing. The office staff are very friendly.

Absolutely horrible experience. I was relocated due to a promotion, and moved out early. However, I revisited multiple times in order to clean. Upon my last visit, I found my patio door left open and water was all over the floor of my apartment. I had the keys in my possession. Staff were the only people with access. Prior to this, I had multiple staff walk throughs and was informed of what I would be charged. However, the amount was significantly less. I was told my refund would be almost $200 (80% of my deposit), but only received $40. DO NOT LEASE HERE. The apartments are awful, staff is awful, hidden fees and high utility bills due to outdated amenities will ruin your living experience. If I could give a negative star score, I would.

I am shocked this complex has more stars, but it must be from fake reviews. Let's start with the units. My appliances were from the 1970s, the cabinets were disgusting, and the fridge door hit the island when it was open. Talk about bad construction. There were so many spiders and ants in the unit, even though they sprayed chemicals on the outside of the unit. We had a major wasp problem! About 12 wasps were in our unit. Luckily, my cat enjoyed hunting them. Also, my upstairs neighbor had their pit bull pooping in the yard and they never cleaned it up! The way management resolved this: to issue a print out on every single door warning everyone who has a pet to clean up after them. It wasn't effective.
Now for the more important part: the management(or lack of). The leasing manager acted in bad faith in giving me my deposits back. I had 2 separate deposits (security and pet). When I told her she had to have someone provide me with a list of damages to the property (or provide me with a check for my refunds), she refused. In the state of Texas, a landlord has 30 days after the tenant moves out to fulfill this obligation. After that, they are automatically presumed to have acted in bad faith, and the tenant is entitled to treble damages +$100 +attorney fees/court costs. See my review of DTI properties if you'd like to see how the corporate office handled this! This company should be a case study in how NOT to run a business operation.
