During my time at The London, I have learned that they will scam you where possible and they do not know what they are doing. I have been through two owners and three property managers. None of them were qualified in what they were doing. I have had to teach their financial managers how there systems work after I was told they were run by AI. I don’t know why that is a position if AI is doing all the work. The property managers and maintenance staff constantly try to charge you for extra things or change lease terms. The only reason I survived is that I know my rights and I have a background that allows me to fight the injustices. They make blatant lies when they don’t know you record them, and I do suggest you record every interaction. Texas is a single party convent state. If you don’t know your rights, they will take advantage of you. Even they don’t know their lease or how the complex runs, and I have to constantly explain the lease to them. The maintenance is the worst. When I request maintenance, I have to diagnose the problem for them, and they still don’t fix it. They mess up even the most simple repairs, and I have to tell them how to fix their mistakes. There are times where they decide they simply don’t want to do the repair, so they don’t. I don’t know why we have a maintenance staff that can’t diagnose or fix the most simple of things. I would do the work, but I know The London would charge me for any change because I would be liable. Unless you are extremely skilled in navigating contract law and maintenance, this is a terrible place for a College Student to live.

I don’t even know where to begin. I guess I’ll start with the positive. The front office staff are super nice and helpful in relaying messages, but that’s about it. Gym is 24/7, pretty convenient. Location is great with optimal bus routes and proximity to campus. Most 5 Star reviews are written right in front of management when people are signing/renewing their lease. Take them with a grain of salt. Rent, yeah it’s cheap but you pay for what you get. My A/C unit has broken a total of 3 times and there is never an urgency to repair it. Washer and Dryer? Yep you guessed it! Broken as well. Took 3/4 work orders to finally make them realize we needed new machines. At least these were replaced relatively quick. Think of an appliance, and it has more than likely been broken lol. Lighting is terrible, so buy a lamp for the living area. Like mold? Then you’ll love The London! They refuse to call it mold and say it’s “discoloration and moisture remediation” but hey at least we got new furniture right? Wrong, they took the couches and waited about 2 weeks to bring them back. Wait it gets better! Do you like rain? Well The London has water leaking from its ceiling! It also doesn’t help that maintenance are not provided with the resources and personnel by ownership to help address issues. They are typically overwhelmed with work so they looks for quick fixes instead of permanent solutions. WiFi outages have occurred ,but just once or twice. If you’d like to prioritize your comfort and save yourself frustration, do not stay here. I will not be resigning.
