We enjoyed our experience of living there. I like the convenience of the location. The building was old, but the management was always working on improvement. After we moved out, though, we had some problems with getting the deposit back in the amount that we deserved, despite the manager at the time saying we left the place very nice and thanking us for it. They charged the carpet cleaning fee regardless of the state of the carpet's cleanliness. We did not have pet, and left the carpet the same way as when we moved in. They initially did not explain or gave us itemized bills for the reduced amount of the returned deposit. Only after I inquired, they produced the carpet cleaning bill, with the date posterior to the deposit return check. So, it seems like they just decided to charge me the carpet cleaning fee without having actually secured the service or the service was rendered after the deposit return check was issued. The amount of the carpet cleaning was also higher than what was stated in the lease. The management at the time was somewhat dismissive, just explaining away that the amount on the lease was not updated. Even after all of that, Avenue 5 still owes me some money because the return check was less than what I should have gotten. I raised this issue to management, and she promised to put in a request check for me for the rest of the amount. Nothing happened. I contacted her again and again, in the total of three separate occasions, every single time the management would say that they will put in the request for this check to correct it. But I never received the check, nor did they check in with me at all. We had a pleasant enough experience while living there, but bad experience with getting the deposit back. They will get your money and ignore your request knowing our efforts of getting the deposit back will fizzle out.

It’s my first time in Eugene, and the Patterson towers have made my move easy and smooth. The manger David has been really helpful, and kind. I appreciate his patience and dedication to helping me get my apartment together, and the maintenance staff has been really helpful and friendly.

I love living at Patterson Tower! Great views! Modern renovations. Avenue 5 has been great and very responsive so far. :)

I have lived her for about 5 years and have seen the property be turned of to a couple different companies. Avenue 5 really does try to pinch every penny out of you. I appreciate the updates to the building but paying for common area electric is just absurd. Really enjoyed when Mathew was in the building as he responded to emails quickly and seemed to do a great job with community events and engagement. Ever since he has left I cannot get a reply to an email and communication with management about the building has just gone dead silent. I really appreciated the monthly newsletters and now there is nothing. Maintenance professionals continue to be amazing and friendly though and its frequently been a comfortable experience having them in my apartment. Incredibly disappointed in the lack of communication though. As well as I just got an email telling me I need to pay for a pet screening for my ESA which I cannot find an agreement on in my lease. Update. I have had confirmation twice over the last year and a half that I am on the list for a parking space. I have already been told in the past that nobody added me. I just went to check again on my space in line after almost two years of waiting to be told Im not on the list and they can’t find the old list. Even though I have a confirmation email that I am on the list I was told I still have to wait because they already sent offers to those on the list. The mismanagement and miss communication is egregious here these last handful of months.

I love this apartment complex. It's in the middle of the city, we have a spacious unit with updated appliances & rent is VERY reasonable. Theres monthly events and the management is so sweet. Not to mention we have the most beautiful view of Eugene! 😄
