This is a great place to live! The management team is super friendly and really accommodating. Maddie and Andrew do an awesome job putting together fun events that bring everyone together and help neighbors get to know each other. From pizza nights and a fabulous Thanksgiving dinner to root beer float socials and game nights, there’s always something fun going on. It really feels like a welcoming community.

I love the community, it's quiet despite its proximity to 66, it's very walkable, you can walk to campus and to any store you need. The neighbors are great, the staff is great. They respond to maintaince requests quickly and plan great events. However, I'm sick and tired of waking up to no water and finding that the only notice hit my inbox five minutes AFTER the water got shut off. Something is badly wrong with the pipes here. I can never get cold water, the water is constantly being shut off, and they only reliably give you advanced notice about half the time. I pay enough in rent where I should be able to take a shower before I go to work. I fully understand that they need to do maintaince work. They just need to serve notice before turning the water off.
EDIT: I very much appreciate the kind and profesional response of management. That said, the water issue has not abated and has worsened. I still reccomend moving here, but be aware that water might randomly shut off while you are in the shower. The only notice will have been sent minutes before, or even after, it was shut off.

DO NOT RENT WITH UNIVERSITY SQUARE!! I have lived here for nearly two years and have consistently been shocked by their lack of consideration and communication. The water shut offs are constant and unpredictable. It feels incredibly difficult to get into contact with management. They once threatened to charge me $50 for leaving my shoes outside my door during heavy rain. They allowed a convicted child predator to live in an apartment directly next to a family, with a young daughter. After they finally evicted him we (residents) received notice about this man’s status as a predator, and upon looking up his public records I saw that he had been convicted many months prior. I am still deeply angry that he was allowed to live in this community and so close to a young child. Most recently, there has been roof work taking place for weeks with minimal notice. Sometimes the roof work has started before 8am with no heads up or communication from management. I have had to rearrange entire days in order to not interfere with the roof work, as the roofers seemed openly annoyed when I tried to exit and enter my apartment. The roofers have also left debris all over the ground, including sharp nails and pieces of metal. Please whatever you do, do not sign a lease with University Square Apartment they do not care about their residents and the rent is far too high to be dealing with constant disruptions and inept management.

The community here and the people are amazing. Maddie and Andrew make great activities for the community to get closer. It's pretty close to a few grocery stores and is in walking distance from campus. You constantly hear ambulances going by though. There has been 3 changes of management in the past year making all communications with them extremely annoying. And the project manager never gives you a heads up if they are doing anything near your apartment. After showing nothing but politeness I've been given harsh treatment for asking simple questions such as "why is the water shutoff now 5 hours long". Dont ever try to take a shower, the constant water shut offs make everyday life terrible. Sometimes it'll be from 9am-2pm, or it could be 11am-4pm, you never know when the water will be shutoff. You may get an email 15 minutes beforehand though, like that would make a difference. Maybe if their management wasn't rude they could get a lot more business and less complaints. As it stands now the management is hostile and not helpful. With the roofing being done right now it is a serious safety hazard to walk on the footpaths, especially since they just drop the roofing without looking. Maybe with another change of management it could be a nonhostile and safe place to live.

Great place to live! The apartments are comfortable, and the community events are a lot of fun. Maddie and Andrew do a really good job organizing them, and it’s always nice to see neighbors and meet new people.
