Helix Apartments

I currently rent from Helix (Unit 2018). 1. I have had no heat or A/C for four months. It is very cold. 2. The unit was move-in filthy and had a bad stink from cat urine. I had to use my own money to hire an environmental company to remedy the stink. 3. One neighbor is so noisy all night long that myself and two other neighbors can't sleep. I slept last night in my car. The Utah managers refuse to do anything. They ignore our pleas for help. 4. There is smoking in the units, again management is no where. There are roaches in the building next to me, all due to management not inspecting the units. I do not know how bad the roaches are across the complex. 5. I had to call in Metro PD when a Helix contractor rifled through my possessions when I was not there. Helix protected the contractor. 6. They close out maintenance requests without fixing things. The complex is old and a lot of things do not work well. I am looking for another place to live. Helix is a nightmare. I like most of the other tenants in my building. They deserve better, but we all have no power against an abusive corporation. Matt

We have lived here at Helix for a number of years. Our experience has been delightful. The Management and Maintenance staff are exceptional. The property is maintained at a high level. The area is quiet and safe. One cannot beat the location..
