I’ve only lived here for three weeks, and the number of issues I’ve experienced is honestly unbelievable. To be fair, the apartment manager and security team have been very kind and professional — but the building maintenance and unit conditions are unacceptable. • On the very first laundry cycle after moving in, the washing machine leaked everywhere. I had to use an empty upstairs unit for a week just to do laundry. • After the washer was fixed, the dryer immediately broke and required another work order. • Three kitchen outlets were dead and needed to be repaired. • Running the dishwasher causes water to back up onto the kitchen counter, and I have to block it with towels. • The bathtub faucet leaks heavily. They refused to fix it, claiming it was because I installed a shower head — but the leak was severe even before anything was installed. • Now water is leaking into the wooden hallway floor, causing the boards to lift and warp. • The washing machine has mold, and every time I do laundry, black mold stains transfer onto my clothes, which is completely unsanitary. I’m paying $3,700 for a one-bedroom, and while the unit is larger than many other downtown apartments, the building feels old and constantly breaking down. The amount of repairs needed is ridiculous for the price. This entire experience has been extremely stressful and disappointing. For a unit I just moved into, the nonstop maintenance issues and unresolved problems make me regret choosing this building.
