Unit (for ktown): 4/5
Parking: 5/5
Management: 5/5
This apartment balances comfortability and market prices, and I would be surprised to find other complexes in the area that can provide this much at this price level.
The unit is modern and the common areas are clean (the gym and roof patio). A major plus is the relatively small amount of tenants, resulting in less noise and problems that would normally occur in adjacent area apt complexes.
I always consider the low reviews of any apartment for a potential lease - especially in the LA area. So as someone who has rented in ktown for over 7 years, I find a lot of the complaints from the lower reviews to be out of touch- and in all honesty, they probably rented in LA for the first time or are using their parent's money to live in LA (people who would lack the concept of rent costs correlated to quality).
I challenge them to find another unit in ktown for this price point with these amenities and lack of noise - which is minimal in itself. We live in the city where there will be outdoor noise- outside of the renter's control.
Also, living in apartments - there will undoubtably be normal living noise from the upstairs unit during normal hours; the only time a complaint would be warranted is during sleep hours - which William, the property manager, has addressed for me and i'm sure for others.
Additionally, I saw a bad review about theft, and I'd like to remind those looking to rent in the area that this is LOS ANGELES-KTOWN. The renter applies all the security measures possible - locked doors, signs to deliver to the unit, and security cameras. There is only so much management can do if you don't pick up your packages for weeks at a time.
Ultimately, a pleasant experience. This is my first time every renewing (or reviewing) a lease in LA Ktown. Definitively, I attribute this to William, the property manager who has always provided a professionally reasonable and personal experience.
