We toured this apartment in the middle of December two weeks to Christmas, Sophia was our tour guide, she was AMAZING! Answered all of my questions and really help narrow down the perfect unit. After we chose to move in Sophia was super helpful with reserving the loading dock and elevator. Move in was so smooth and easy! We have now been in our unit for almost 3 weeks now and we absolutely love it! The views are GORGEOUS! The location is perfect, PSU Farmer market is a 3 minute walk and there is plenty of restaurants and bars with in walking distance! If you prefer to not walk the MAX is just down the block.
UPDATE: Still love the place! Recently needed some repairs done and maintenance so so quick and professional! +5 stars!

I cannot say enough positive things about Sophia at Ladd Apartment. From the very start, she made the whole process seamless and stress free. She is very efficient and always very quick to get back to me.. I never had to wait long for a response, which made a huge difference throughout the leasing process.
Sophia exceeds expectations in everything she does. She showed me around all the units I wanted to see without a second thought, always with a bright smile on her face. It is clear that she is very passionate about what she does and strives to give 100% every single day. Her work ethic is truly admirable!
The moving in process was very smooth, and I am absolutely loving my new place! If you are thinking of moving to Ladd Apartment, I would highly recommend Sophia. you will be in the best possible hands. She is a huge asset to the team and the reason why this place already feels like home! 🏠

Arriving at Ladd Apartments for my tour, I was greeted by Sophia, who welcomed me with great hospitality. I had been feeling frustrated with my apartment search because I had so many must haves, but I really liked the lobby layout and decided to give it a chance. Sophia was communicative, professional, and easy to relate to. She walked me through every available option, and I was pleasantly surprised that the units met all my needs. Big windows, a great view of town, in unit laundry, a large kitchen countertop, and a well sized balcony, plus more. Sophia pointed out that the unit I liked had limited closet space, which I truly appreciated. I know some people might avoid mentioning a drawback in hopes a renter will not notice, but not Sophia. She was thoughtful, transparent, and caring. She also took the time to clearly explain the building rules, all fees, and how payments work. After thinking it over, I chose a unit and moved forward with the application. Sophia helped me submit everything and gather the documents I needed. I had some trouble locating a few items since organization is not my strong, but she was very patient and stayed past working hours to make sure everything was complete. Even after I moved in, Sophia has continued to be a reliable source of support and information. For example, she is very attentive to resident packages and even personally helped with an important delivery I was waiting on. It is genuinely reassuring to know there are people like Sophia who care about residents and take pride in their work.

I recently moved in to Ladd. This was a property I had in my eye for some time, but didn't think I'd get approved for as it is a modern and upscale building. However, I got in touch with the lease agent Sophia, who was incredibly helpful in helping with the entire process. I couldn't get my facetime to work, so she sent me videos of the property and unit I was interested in, guided me through the application and move-in process once I was approved (!!), reviewed the lease with me, answered any question I may have and constantly remained in touch with me until my move in, where she lead me on a tour of the common areas.
The building itself is beautiful, conveniently located right in downtown Portland. Right next to a Safeway, PSU, The Portland Museum of Art, and multiple bus/streetcar/rail lines. This is a keyless community, instead you use pin pad codes or phone apps to unlock the main entrance, elevator, common areas, etc. I also had an issue with the keypad battery in my unit dying. Alex the manager quickly had someone from maintenance in my unit to replace the batteries.
Beware that this is a large community and there's only 3 elevators, so during peak times you might have to wait a couple of times for an elevator.
I feel safe here! My packages are locked in a mail room that needs an app to be unlocked, so only residents can access them. There's a recycling center, along with a well equiped gym, an outdoor BBQ area, theater room, and more!
Pictures are of my unit's view during daytime and nighttime.
