I am no longer a resident at this property, but I want to share my experience for anyone considering moving in. While some of the leasing agents and the maintenance staff were excellent and very responsive, my overall experience was disappointing—largely due to management and recurring issues with the building itself.
The amenities were decent, though they were often not well maintained by other residents. In addition, the monthly utility fees for shared energy, gas, and water were quite high, adding about $100 extra to my rent each month. I would not have renewed my lease, especially after the rent increase. If you’re considering this complex, I strongly recommend taking an in-person tour before signing anything.
When I first moved in, I expected a welcoming environment, but both managers, Skylar and Carlos, gave an unprofessional and uninviting first impression. The apartment itself was nice enough, with a pleasant view from the sixth floor, though it had a few minor flaws typical of apartment living.
Parking was one of the biggest frustrations. It took over a month after move-in to be assigned parking, forcing us to pay for street parking near the Plaid Pantry, which was not only inconvenient but also unsafe at times due to nearby homeless activity. When we finally received spaces, they were tandem making it a hassle to move either vehicle. The following day, I was told the spaces were under maintenance and had to find parking elsewhere again, at my own expense. When I brought this up to management, Carlos dismissively said, “Another day shouldn’t hurt.” The underground garage itself is cramped, and drivers often speed through without regard for others. The garage door also frequently malfunctioned, sometimes leaving residents unable to enter while individuals loitered nearby.
Package management was another major concern. For most of my tenancy, there was no secure package room and deliveries were simply left in the lobby, even outside of office hours. Later, a package room was added, but access was controlled only by a simple code, and items were often left unsecured despite the presence of a camera. One of my packages was stolen, and although I reported it to the office, I was told it was taken by a resident’s guest. I was not permitted to view the footage, and the issue was never resolved. From other reviews, it seems this was not an isolated incident.
There were also consistent issues with marijuana odors throughout the building, despite the property being advertised as smoke-free. Management sent multiple reminder emails, but the problem persisted. The walls are thin, and you can clearly hear upstairs neighbors arguing or pets running around. Finally, the elevators were frequently out of service breaking down at least seven times during my one-year stay.
Overall, while the maintenance staff and some leasing agents were great, the management, security, and building reliability left much to be desired.
