It was 5 stars at the Franklin Ide on Lovejoy until Greystar became the property manager on July 1, 2025. The on-site Greystar team is often absent, sometimes rude and dismissive, and at least one of them is incapable of writing a coherent sentence.
Maintenance is awesome and very attentive. The building is fantastic!

They are terribly hard to contact when issues arise. I have had packages stolen from what is supposed to be a secure building, the fire department come because of fire alarms, and now missed deliveries because the front door system has been out of service. When trying to contact the team to discuss how to address these issues, they have been unavailable and unresponsive. The service team is great when deployed, but clearly there are problems in the office itself.

My move-in was on a Sunday, a day when the leasing office is closed. I had called the week prior to confirm that that would be ok and they assured me that it would be. Jordan (the property manager) told me that the process they follow is to grant virtual access to the building via ButterflyMX on Saturday and then leave the apt unlocked on Sunday with the keys inside.
I arrived on Sunday and was able to get in the building, but the apartment was locked. This was extremely frustrating, especially considering I had called beforehand to make sure this would not be an issue.
Great location, but based on my experience, disorganized management.

Building is not in great shape as I have had quite a few maintenance issues since move in. The staff has been wonderful however and extremely helpful in helping me get everything taken care of and they are one of the best things about the building. The maintenance guy Asher especially deserves a raise or another helper since he works so hard fixing all the issues that have come up. Oh and don't trust apartments that use realpage, they are currently being sued for conspiring and overcharging rent for student and multifamily housing.

No one answers the phone, rarely respond to voicemails or calls. Had a terrible lease renewal process, ending up moving out, and now being charged ridiculous cleaning fees (despite speaking directly with Nick from maintenance and getting the all clear). Haven’t received my security deposit 2 months after moving out. Avoid renting here.
Also, common utility charges are ridiculously expensive and way above what they quote you.
