Nexen

We’ve been living here for about three months (since the end of November), and we genuinely love this building. I often hear friends complain about their leasing offices slow responses, poor communication, maintenance delays. In our case, it’s the complete opposite. The leasing team has been amazing: very responsive, professional, and truly helpful. Once there was a mistake with a package that ended up in the wrong locker, and Katie personally helped us locate it. Every time we’ve had a question or request, it was handled quickly and efficiently. The service here is honestly top-tier. Our apartment is warm and very sunny. We love the layout especially the walk-in closet and the bright, stylish kitchen. I do wish there were a bit more storage space in the bathrooms, but it’s not a major issue. The neighborhood feels clean and calm - no trash, no noise, and no homeless activity on our street. The walls seem well insulated because we barely hear our neighbors, which is rare in Los Angeles. Occasionally you can smell marijuana in the hallway. However, that’s generally quite common in the U.S. Since it’s legal in California, many people smoke. That said, in our building it happens very rarely, which is actually a big plus. Our immediate neighbors don’t smoke, and we really appreciate that. We absolutely love the rooftop - it’s one of our favorite features. The views are stunning, especially during sunset. We often go up there to watch sunsets or even sunrises. It really adds to the overall experience of living here. One small suggestion: since the clubhouse is currently being renovated, it would be wonderful if a larger table (for 10–15 people) could be added. The current table feels more decorative than functional. In other apartment communities, larger dining-style tables make it possible to host small gatherings indoors - especially when outdoor seating isn’t ideal due to heat, rain, or air quality. That upgrade would make the clubhouse even more practical and community-friendly. Overall, we’re very happy here and already recommend this building to our friends. It truly feels comfortable and welcoming.

My two years at Nexen has been a pleasant experience. The building is always clean, well-maintained, and managed with care and attention to detail. Katie is truly outstanding. She’s incredibly kind, responsive, and professional. Any questions or requests are handled quickly, and she genuinely cares about the residents. Highly recommend Nexen to anyone looking for a welcoming place to live!
