Have been living here less than a month, horrible experiences with building staff the first week including the maintenance guy yelling at my movers and his wife the building manager trying to use minor rule violations to harass us. Staff tried to deny my use of a handicap spot when I have a disabled placard and the building manager was parking there without a placard. Now that the building manager can no longer use the handicap spot she's been blocking in neighbors' cars to make her life easier but everyone elses' life harder. The building is primarily college students, so I get the vibe that the staff here are used to bullying tenants without them filing complaints in response. The owners don't care about the harassment by the staff and sent me a letter to convey that. Neighbors have been chill. Floor plans are not great. There's minimal closet/storage space. There's a stray cat living in the garage that staff have not made any serious attempts to remove. Update: The fire alarm was accidentally set off the other night shortly after midnight. After the fire department came and it was confirmed a false alarm I saw the building manager screaming at the young adult that set off the fire alarm, on the sidewalk in front of the building. Building management has a habit of yelling at residents and causing a scene. Update 2: The building manager and her husband have been using the parking garage as their own personal art studio. They have been blocking the driveway and glaring at me when I am leaving and returning.

Great location and great floor plans! The rooftop is beautiful and offers an amazing view. However, there are several downsides. The sink in the toilet is too small, and the cabinet space isn’t great, there’s no room to store luggage. I also don’t like that there’s no soundproofing between rooms in the apartment or between neighboring apartments. I can hear the upstairs neighbors walking, and I’m sure the people below can hear us too. I never complain about noise because I understand it’s not their fault, they’re just walking. But it does frustrate me when others complain about noise we can’t control. If I’m paying rent, I have every right to walk freely and comfortably in my apartment. Another issue is the lack of parking. It’s very limited and inconvenient. On top of that, I really don’t like having to pay for laundry. Honestly, it’s too much. If I’m already paying rent, laundry should be accessible and included, it should be customary, not an extra expense. Lastly, the garbage disposal system isn’t ideal and could definitely be improved

This building's location is great and has a nice rooftop lounge area as well. My apartment was very spacious. You can take a quick 5 minute walk to the UC Berkeley Campus too. A very decent overall experience.

I was a tenant for ten months in the 2024-2025 term and have nothing but good things to say about the onsite personnel, Johanna and Ian, and the tenant interface with the landlord, Megan. Thank you all for a wonderful term in Berkeley!

Good appartments, but the heating was not working the entire year and there was no reduction in rent. The building's management makes it a toxic place to live in as they are very passive aggresive and unwilling to help. The "onsite managers" live in the building just beneath the rooftop and conviniently change the rules to their favor if they are annoyed. Forget about using the rooftop unless you want to go up there alone and relax. Never trust a word they say unless written. You can agree upon things verbally and then they claim that never happened. Expect to lose a minimum of 500$ on your deposit just for "cleaning" even if you clean the apartment before handing it over and agree it is in near perfect condition on the inspection.
