I want to take a moment to recognize Diana for her professionalism, patience, and genuine care. From the beginning, she was attentive, responsive, and made sure all my questions were answered clearly. She went above and beyond to make the process smooth and stress-free, and it truly shows that she cares about the people she works with.
I also want to say this, don’t let reviews discourage you. Most reviews tend to come from people who are upset or had a negative experience, while the many positive experiences often go unspoken. My experience with Diana has been nothing but positive, and she deserves the recognition. I’m grateful for her help and would absolutely recommend working with her.

**Tides on Charleston Review – A Nightmare You Don’t Want to Experience**
I spent two arduous years at Tides on Charleston, and I wouldn't wish the ordeal on my worst enemy. Allow me to share the details, as there's a lot to unpack.
**Tragedy from Day One**
My moving in was overshadowed by a shocking event; just days after I settled in, a devastating fire broke out in the complex, tragically claiming the life of one tenant. As if that wasn’t distressing enough, I later learned that the property had failed to pass a proper fire inspection and lacked functioning smoke alarms. This harrowing incident should have been a glaring red flag, signaling it was time to vacate.
**Endless A/C Issues**
During the sweltering summer months, the air conditioning unit barely functioned, becoming an ongoing nightmare. Each maintenance request yielded only temporary solutions—the unit would work for a day or two, before returning to its inadequate state. Imagine tossing and turning in an 80-degree apartment, desperately seeking any form of relief. It was like living in a sauna with no escape.
**Roach Infestation**
Despite multiple visits from exterminators, I was never able to entirely rid my living space of the roach infestation. No amount of cleanliness on my part could restore a sense of comfort, as these unwelcome guests became a grim part of everyday life, creating an atmosphere that felt perpetually dirty.
**Garbage Disposal Disaster**
The garbage disposal was another ongoing headache, breaking down not once, not twice, but an astonishing seven times during my tenancy. Even by the time I decided to leave, it remained inoperative, a reminder of the shoddy maintenance culture permeating the property.
**Unruly Guests & Unsafe Conditions**
While many of the neighbors were decent folks, the complex's security was a serious concern; there were instances of random individuals showing up at all hours of the night. I once experienced the shock of finding someone urinating on my apartment wall—a level of disrespect and disregard for personal space that I simply cannot accept.
**Laundry Room = Joke**
The shared laundry facilities were a comical disaster. Imagine a single washer and dryer meant to serve an entire building. With multiple families and dozens of tenants relying on these appliances, doing laundry became an all-day affair, if you were fortunate enough to find the machines available at all.
**The Place is Falling Apart**
As time passed, the entire complex seemed to descend into a state of disrepair. Maintenance efforts felt minimal, often serving as mere band-aid fixes, and the management exhibited a troubling indifference toward tenant concerns and overall livability.
**Final Thought**
Tides on Charleston marked my first foray into independent living, and it imparted a harsh lesson: cheap rent often comes at a steep price in terms of suffering. For the sake of your sanity and safety, please steer clear of this place. In this situation, you truly get what you pay for, and here, you’re paying to endure misery.
